Dr. Palta was selected for the WMAA Emeriti Faculty Award which recognizes outstanding service to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. It is awarded to emeriti faculty in the Basic and Clinical Sciences who have exhibited exceptional commitment to the school.
Dr. Palta has made major contributions to biostatistics, epidemiology, health services research and graduate education. She was one of the founders of the Population Health graduate program and several continuing cohort studies.
