County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) just released the 2024 Annual Data and National Findings Report. We’re continuing the conversation around civic health with a focus on the connection between thriving communities and civic participation. Creating community spaces where everyone can engage, be informed and have a say is key to healthy communities and to our democracy.
We’ve made important changes this year. In addition to the report, we’re offering:
- A sharper tool to assess how counties are faring relative to others in their state and across the country that replaces the ranking method;
- A new view of county health and context for the data in each County Health Snapshot, including a link to identify Indigenous nations native to the land, a brief description and the county’s connection to large cities and neighborhoods that have experienced redlining; and
- Updates to our collection of more than 80 health-related measures and data for additional racialized groups.
