Lin grew up in Tianjin, China, moving to Wisconsin to attend Lawrence University on scholarship. There she majored in biology and philosophy and earned a minor in mathematics. After falling in love with the Midwest culture in college, she made Wisconsin her second home and attended medical school at UWSMPH. Lin believes that the patient-physician relationship is deeply rooted in the physician’s love and understanding of her community. In medical school, she learned that a physician has the power and responsibility to advocate for her patients. After completing her categorical internal medicine internship, she is excited to pursue her with her love for the community and her strong drive for patient advocacy and healthcare improvement, Lin is pursuing her dream in preventive medicine.

Lin loves the Wisconsin outdoors, she runs trail races on the savanna series in support of Wisconsin state parks. She is a member of the Hoofer’s sailing club and loves to sail and windsurf on Lake Mendota.
