Bio: With over two decades of experience in analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, and public health, Rudy Johnson has dedicated his career to advancing scientific innovation and applying research to address critical challenges in emergency response, toxicology, and military exposure assessment. His expertise spans leadership in government research programs, strategic project management, and pioneering analytical methodologies that enhance public health security and forensic investigations. Currently, Rudy Johnson serves as the Director for the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) on the UW-Madison campus. The WSLH serves as Wisconsin’s public laboratory focused on clinical environmental and occupational health. It is a key partner of the University of Wisconsin – Madison that reports to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
