Title: The Changing Landscape of Global Health
Abstract: Starting in January of 2025, the Trump administration began to institute several fundamental changes to its global health response which have significantly altered the larger global health landscape. This presentation will review these changes, discuss their impacts, and identify issues going forward.
Bio: Dr. Jennifer Kates is senior vice president and director of the Global and Public Health Policy Program at KFF, where she oversees policy analysis and research focused on the U.S. government’s role in global health and on the global and domestic HIV epidemics. She also helps lead KFF’s work on public health issues, including on vaccine policy.
