Topic: Infectious and immunological disease genetics, sepsis
Bio: Dr. Butler-Laporte completed his undergraduate training at McGill University and his residency in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at McGill University. This was followed by three years of research in genetic epidemiology of infectious diseases with Professor Brent Richards at the Lady Davis Institute and Dr Alex Mentzer at the University of Oxford.
In addition to clinical work Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at the MUHC, Dr. Butler-Laporte will lead a genetic epidemiology research program at the Lady Davis Institute working in close collaboration with the Canada Excellence in Research Chair in Genomic Medicine at McGill University.
