Title: Integrative Tumor Epidemiology of Colorectal Cancer with a Focus on Genetics & Tumor Immune Profiling
Abstract:
1. Introduce Integrative Tumor Epidemiology in the Genetics and Epidemiology of Colorectal Cancer Consortium (GECCO)
2. Examine epidemiologic factors association with CRC risk and survival stratified by a microbiome tumor mutational signature
3. Introduce tumor immune profiling methods & modeling approaches
4. Genetic mutations association with tumor immune profile (somatic & germline)
5. Future Research Directions
Bio: Dr. Claire Thomas is a genetic cancer epidemiology postdoctoral research fellow in the Public Health Sciences Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. She is a cancer epidemiologist focused on integrating diverse domains of data to facilitate a more holistic understanding of cancer etiology and outcomes. She primarily investigates germline and somatic mutations associations with tumor immune profile in colorectal cancer as part of the Genetics and Epidemiology of Colorectal Cancer Consortium (GECCO).
