Title:  Novel Spatial Methods in Cancer Surveillance and Environmental Mixtures

Bio:  Maria is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) working in the Biostatistics Branch (BB) with Dr. Paul Albert (Biostatistics Branch) and Dr. Alex Keil (Occupational & Environmental Epidemiology Branch) in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She completed her PhD in Epidemiology and MS in Statistics both at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was advised by Dr. Ronald Gangnon and Dr. Jun Zhu. Her research focuses on statistical methods and applications in cancer surveillance, environmental mixtures, and spatial cluster detection.
