Congratulations to Dr. Amy Trentham-Dietz on her new 4-year Department of Defense (DoD) award ($1,555,000) titled, “Population Modeling to Optimize Equitable Ovarian Cancer Outcomes.” The long-term overarching objective is to use innovative computer simulation modeling to drive interventions to reduce the burden of ovarian cancer. The immediate objective for this proposal is to provide patients and their physicians with the information they need to decide whether conventional or new liquid biopsy tests are appropriate for them.
Population Health Science faculty who will be collaborating with Amy on this project are Minh Tung Phung, Shaneda Warren Andersen, and Ron Gangnon. Faculty in other UW departments include Oguz Alagoz and Gabriel Zayas-Caban (Industrial & Systems Engineering) and Lisa Barroilhet (Obstetrics & Gynecology).
