Funding Opportunity with Health-First Climate Action Research Center

Climate and health small grants research award competition is open. This year we will make available $90,000 for pilot grants and will fund multiple grants of up to $20,000-40,000 in total costs. This pilot grant program comes by way of matching funds from the Department of Population Health Sciences, along with the NIH funds.

Please direct any questions to the Center’s Coordinator, Caitlin-Warlick-Short at cshort2@wisc.edu, Bruce Barrett, or myself.

The mission of The Center is to determine which climate policies will have the greatest benefit for human health, with a focus on community-relevant solutions and near-term health benefits. We are looking to support pilot grants that build capacity for research and community partners to develop the skills, connections, and research agendas to fund continued collaboration, while simultaneously building knowledge to support effective climate change solutions that advance human health and environmental justice.

We encourage applications from early-stage investigators and investigators from racial, ethnic, and gender groups which are underrepresented in the climate and health research fields. You may read the full request for proposals HERE.
