Marguerite Burns, PhD, received the 2024-25 H.I. Romnes Faculty Fellowship.
This fellowship is named in honor of the late Trustee and President of the WARF Board Haakon Ingolf (H.I.) Romnes. According to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education, Romnes’ career was characterized by “integrity, self-discipline and the ability to accomplish monumental tasks while preserving the full support and admiration of all who came to know him.” With the Romnes Faculty Fellowship, the University recognizes the academic success of a mid-career faculty member and provides support from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation for continued development of an outstanding research program.
