Brief Interest Statement: As a biology teacher living abroad, I came to realize the many health problems faced by my students, neighbors and community. This led me to the science of epidemiology and the department here at UW Madison. I continue to work on global health projects, and still enjoy traveling for work and for fun.
What experiences in your life led you to study population/public health? Living in a developing country peaked my interest in improving health.
Why did you choose UW-Madison for your degree? The variety of research and course options available.
What do you hope/plan to do with your degree? Continue to do epidemiological research as well as teach.
