Madison.com article “Science Says: Breaking down the coffee-cancer connection”

Cancer Epidemiologist Professor Amy Trentham-Dietz was quoted in a recent article on Madison.com. The article, “Science Says: Breaking down the coffee-cancer connection” looks at the ruling in California that coffee sellers must post warnings about the risk of cancers related to coffee consumption, and whether science supports this link.

The good news for coffee lovers is that it doesn’t.

Amy says, "Studies in humans suggest that if anything, coffee is protective for some types of cancer. As long as people are not putting a lot of sugar or sweeteners in, coffee, tea and water are the best things for people to be drinking".
